Mycelium Based Materials for Product Design / STW project

After the positive outcome of our joint application earlier this year, we are glad to announce that the STW project ‘Mycelium-based materials fro Product design’  has officially kicked off. The project is the result of a collaboration between knowledge institutes such as Utrecht Universiteit, TU/Delft and Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) and sees the involvement of illustrious industrial partners as part of its users’ committee.

Along the duration of the project, the involved parties will cooperate to jointly develop a palette of mycelium-based materials with diverse properties, which will then be characterised not only technically but also experientially, before being embedded in specific applications and products.

Maurizio Montalti (creative director at Officina Corpuscoli) will be implementing the project as Research Associate at Design Academy Eindhoven.
